Dolphin Update: May 28, 2025

With the continued rain, there is much to be grateful for: green grass abounds; fields are flourishing, rivers are restored and a prolonged drought is over. But, this also has meant continued delays with baseball championships, flag football games, school field days, regional track meets, field trips and so on. While we normally prefer to stick to a schedule as much as possible, we know that attendance tomorrow will be difficult for many and thus, the board has made the prudent decision to PUNT. There will be NO SWIM MEETING TOMORROW. All summer swim activities will commence next week. Here is the schedule/details for next week:

Monday June 2 at 5:45PM: First practice! Weather will be sunny and 80's (yay). We will start with a meeting, have a short time of swimming; and parents. The team will provide pizza for dinner as well. Tuesday June 3 at 5:20PM: Team Pictures

Individual photos will start at 5:20PM (originally shared as 5:30PM). The team photo will be taken at 6PM. Please wear a team suit AND bring your new team t-shirt for this practice/picture. Note: If you don't have a suit yet, they can be ordered through our team store (for which we receive a portion of proceeds from all orders) at https://www.swimoutlet.com/collections/spotswooddolphin

Wednesday June 4: the club is hosting an ice cream social at the pool on Wednesday 6/4 starting at 5PM. Non-members on the swim team are welcome to join us for this event, and the snack bar will be prepared to accept cash for non members as well. Members can charge to their club account as usual. Swim practice will begin at 5:45PM and run until 7PM.

Thursday June 5: regular practice from 5:45PM-7PM.

Friday June 6: we have planned our first FUN FRIDAY practice from 9:45AM-11AM. Given city schools are still in that day, and the appearance of long term weather forecasts, we will play this one by ear!
