Today marks the end of another great week for the Spotswood Dolphin Swim Team! This past Tuesday we held our annual Mock Meet. It was a great opportunity for new swimmers to get a feel for what to expect at all of our meets and for parents to try different volunteer roles needed this season. Thank you to all families who attended! Hope you enjoyed the pizza & ice cream. Remember we will be having pizza parties ($5/per person) after all home meets this year.
This past week also introduced a number of junior dolphins to our swim team. Our junior program is full of young swimmers. Coaches Lucy & Olivia had a blast working with them and helping to improve water skills.
Today we held our second Fun Friday with bagels sponsored by the Dolphin's swim team. Please consider signing up to donate bagels this year, we still have a few spots open on our signup genius!
At practice today, swimmers participated in a lively, ridiculously competitive game of water polo! Friends are always welcome at our fun Friday practices! We also crowned our new swimmers of the week!
Bo always comes to practice ready to try hard, do his best and have fun with his friends! He is a great listener and wonderful team player.
Emma is an awesome new swimmer for the Dolphins swim team. She works hard and despite swim meets being new to her, swam fantastically at our mock meet, diving into a relay and swimming her best.
Next Week: Looking ahead into next week, we are excited for our first full meet of the season at ERRA on Tuesday (Junior dolphins please do NOT come to away meets). Our theme for this meet is HAWAIIAN. Parents & swimmers are encouraged to wear Hawaiian inspired gear.... maybe no coconuts (you know who you are!) ?!? We will have leis for all swimmers. Come to have fun and support our team! Please expect an email from Hilary with notes for the meet.... most importantly, however, ALL SWIMMERS MUST DECLARE THEY ARE SWIMMING IN THE MEET VIA SWIMMINGLY TODAY OR THE COACHES WILL NOT HAVE YOU IN THE LINE UP. This is a new requirement. Please reach out if you have any questions or need help.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
