Dolphin Update: August 4, 2025

Greetings, Dolphins! I hope you had a great week post Champs, and that you have enjoyed some time to rest and reflect on the joys of our summer swim season. I am already missing everyone and looking forward to next year.

A HUGE thank you for our team of coaches, leadership and all the families who worked to support our team this year. It truly takes a village and I hope each family found a place in which to fit.

1) Post Champs Details:

a) RESULTS: while regular season dual meets are completed via the swimmingly app, champs results are recorded using Meet Mobile. If you are interested in seeing the results, you can download that app and find the results by searching 2025 VSL. It does require a subscription (6.49/month or 19.99/year).

b) RIBBONS: all swimmers who placed in the top 8 of an event will have earned a ribbon at champs. Historically (pre-covid), our team banquet was always on the Tuesday following champs which made it possible to distribute these ribbons after the fact. Champs ribbons will be at the club in the ribbon box. If you need help to receive yours, please let me know.

This leads into the post-season feedback (one of the questions on the survey regards the timing of the team banquet)....

2) Post Season Feedback: Please use this short survey to help us begin prepping for next season by sharing details of your experience this past season. 6) Spotswood Club Membership Opportunities:

The SCC club would appreciate your consideration for membership. In honor of the Centennial year, they have just extended their discounted membership drive through October 31. Between now and then, every Thursday night is a free preview day for guests to visit the club at no additional cost. Call the club for more info: 540-433-2659

After November 1, initiation fees will increase according to membership category:

-Premier Membership will increase to $5500

-Full Membership, $5000 (under age 35, $2500)

-Social Membership, $2000

-Pool & Clubhouse, $1000
