Our first home meet is upon us! Home meets differ slightly from away meets, so please read all the forthcoming details so you can be best prepared for our second dual meet!
To know what your swimmer is swimming, view the following heat sheet. Events by swimmer can be found in your SwimminglyFAN app.
Other pertinent home meet details:
1) Please arrive BY 4:30PM.
-PARKING: Broadway has a large team, so it would be great if we could leave as many parking spaces for them as possible. SCC - please park on grass PERPENDICULAR to the road so as to create as much space as possible.
-EXTRA SPACE: I am going to block off the turnaround/drop off area for spectators to have extra space outside of the pool gates.
-Check in with the team at the front entrance before entering.
-Make sure you have already written swimmer numbers on your upper left arm and event numbers on your swimmer's hand.
-refer to our packing list to make sure you have everything you need!
2) Home team warm up is 5pm-5:25pm.
3) Junior Dolphins should arrive at 5PM. Coach Lucy has sent communication as well, and Juniors can expect her to organize them at 5:25PM. Juniors will race around 5:30-5:35PM. Juniors can stay for as little or as much of the meet as they desire after they complete their race.
4) IT WILL BE VERY HOT. People will be permitted to jump in the pool just prior to the start, and at event 31 when volunteers switch. Please make sure to prepare yourself for the temperatures. Note: volunteers will be standing under tents!
5) VOLUNTEER: We cannot execute this meet without your help. Please use this link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0549AEAD28A1F5C07-57254589-2025#/ we will still need: first and second half stroke and turn; 3 second half timers; 2 first half and 2 second half relay take off judges.
6) Pool Party will occur after the meet! This is one highlight of our Dolphin Team: FUN! Please plan to stay. The club snack shack will be fully open once the visiting team departs and the party will continue until approximately 10PM. Lifeguards are on duty to make sure our night swimmers are safe and sound as well.
7) Ribbons: Hilary will print ribbon labels on Wednesday morning; she will also go over last week's ribbons to confirm accuracy. If you noticed any problems, please let her know.
